ARKIVE

ARKIVE is an in-house chemical database of more than 35,000 compounds synthesized by the Prof. Katritzky’s research group Department of Chemistry, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, USA. These compounds include 1) Lead Generation, 2) Focused Sets, 3) Building Blocks and 4) Reagents for Heterocycle Assisted Syntheses. We have compiled downloadable lists of these chemicals that are updated quarterly. A recent article (J. Chem. Inf. Model 2010, 50, 470-479) by Chuprina et.al. analyses commercially available data bases of compounds from 29 suppliers worldwide, including ours. They concluded that our database of compounds (#28,881) possesses i) 21418 exclusive compounds (74.2%) and ii) 7670 drug-like compounds (26%). Our Arkive database includes both the chemical structure and the identification number for every compound. This database can be downloaded in SD or ISIS format to your local database. You may also access this database at www.ark.chem.ufl.edu. Your inquiries and orders can be addressed to ARKIVE manager Mrs. Gala Vakulenko by email compounds@chem.ufl.edu or by Fax at 352-392-9199.
